1. Project Updates

The resume: what does it do?
Gives you the chance to highlight your skills, qualifications, back-ground and experience
Needs to be clear, concise, and tailored to the specific job
The cover letter: what does it do?
Gives you the chance to explain why you are interested in the job, how you can meet the employer’s
needs, and the unique qualities you bring to the position
Needs to be clear, concise, addressed to a particular individual, signed by you, and accurate (check
grammar and spelling)

I. Muslim Women Through a Diverse Lens
Date: June 8, 2014, 11 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Kitchener City Hall 200 King St. W., Kitchener
There are many activities, including a keynote speaker, Dr. Ingrid Mattson, the opportunity to
learn about six historical Muslim women who brought about social change, a bazaar for
shopping and food, a kid’s zone for face painting, arts and crafts, henna and name calligraphy.
