CRCS ECSF-WCCA SOS team/PPE COVID-19 prevention Outdoor Activity

在红十字会对COVID-19疫情期间的资助下，滑铁卢华人联谊会举行了一个疫情期间义工的简短答谢活动。

With funding from the Canadian Red Cross, The Waterloo region Chinese Canadian association held an outdoor appreciation event for volunteers who devoted their time helping the Chinese community during the epidemic.

因为疫情关系，活动分两次进行。

一次在8月19日，一次在8月29日。

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Waterloo region Chinese Canadian scheduled appreciation events in two different days in waterloo park. One on August 19th, another one on August 29th.

活动在WATERLOO PARK举行，大家严格遵循室外活动规则，我们都带上口罩，保持应有社交距离。

8月19日秋高气爽，天气非常好，参加活动有23人，这些义工都是联合会会的会员。

Everyone abided by the rules of having outdoor activities during COVID-19. We all wore masks and maintained a safe social distance.

There were 23 volunteers participating in the event on August 19th.

联合会为义工们准备了点心、饮料及一个PPE礼包，包括口罩，洗手液，还有新出版的滑铁卢华人联合会的杂志

The Waterloo region Chinese Canadian Association prepared snacks, drinks, and PPE packages including masks, hand sanitizer to volunteers.

张夏义工签到，自从疫情发生以来，他持续21次为当地西人90高龄的长者购买日用生活必需品，直至8月28日才结束，这样的爱心与奉献精神非常值得我们敬佩！

Zhangxia was signing for an event sheet, he has been volunteering to purchase daily necessities for a local 90-yead-old elders twenty-one times until August 28th.

王启医生还利用午休的时间来参加活动，为大家介绍滑铁卢当前的疫情状况，科普防疫知识，在不同的场所应该注意的事项。

Dr.Wang participated in the event during his lunch break time, he described the current epidemic situation in Waterloo and shared COVID-19 prevention knowledge to volunteers.

王医生耐心地回答了义工们有关CCOVID-19的各种问题。通过这次的学习，使我们消除了恐慌的心理，更加明白如何正确做好防护措施，更好保护自己.

Dr.Wang patiently answered various questions from volunteers. Dr.wang helped volunteers to eliminate the panic and understand how to properly protect ourselves.

8月29日，第二次活动，今天天气不好，阴天小雨，20个义工依然准时来到滑铁卢公园参加活动。

The second volunteer appreciation event was on August 29th. A total of 20 volunteers attended the event.

黄海陵心理医生，她从她的专业角度出发讲述心里健康在疫情期间的重要性，也给大家讲了一些案例。她说大家这种互助友爱的精神尤其可贵，也为我们社区的良好氛围感到骄傲。

Psychotherapist Huanghailing talked about the importance of mental health from a psychological point of view.

在联合会胡真主席和活动总指挥霍继霞领导下，两次活动圆满举办，感谢所有义工们的付出。

With the leadership of the WCCA president Huzheng and Huojixia, two events are successfully conducted. Thank all the volunteers for their contributions.
