A Stronger Voice for Our Community

About Me 

I have proudly called Waterloo home for over 20 years. As an engineer, real estate professional, marathon runner, mother, and active community volunteer, I understand both the opportunities and challenges facing families in our community.

I am running for Waterloo Ward 2 Councillor because I believe City Hall should listen more closely to residents, support safe and livable neighbourhoods, and build a stronger, more connected community for everyone.

My Priorities

My Story

Originally trained as an aerospace engineer, I came to Canada with my family in 2000 and have built my life in Waterloo through hard work, perseverance, and community involvement.

Over the years, I worked in engineering and software quality assurance in the aerospace industry, earned professional certifications, and later transitioned into real estate, where I have continued helping families settle and grow in our community.

Through many life challenges, including health struggles, career transitions, and raising a family as newcomers, I learned the importance of resilience, compassion, and community support.

Community Involvement 

• Active participant in local community organizations and cultural activities
• Member of Waterloo Women’s Club
• Participant in Zheng Qing Chun Club activities
• Member and Sponsor of WCCA for more than 20 years
• Active in dance, fitness, and wellness programs
• Regular participant in local community events
• Participant KWHR (KW Happy Runner) Long-distance runner and marathon enthusiast

Marathon Journey 

Running has become an important part of my life. It represents discipline, resilience, perseverance, and positive energy — values I also bring to public service.

• 2024: Completed 3 full marathons
• 2025: Completed 2 full marathons, including the Chicago Marathon Major
• 2026: Completed the Boston Marathon Major

Why I’m Running 

I believe local government should be practical, transparent, and closely connected to residents.

As a long-time Waterloo resident, engineer, real estate professional, marathon runner, and active community member, I understand the importance of safe neighbourhoods, responsible growth, and strong community connections.

I want to help build a Ward 2 where families, seniors, and future generations can continue to thrive.
