Hey Dayan, and sub-committee of sports club and badminton club:

Way to go of another successful tournament!

Badminton club is so very well organized, and I am not surprise at all
that we'll have another successful event.  Great Job Dayan for driving
the tournament, and Qi for booking and medals arrangement etc.

Congratulations to the winners, especially to Dayan, Yinan, and Jenny Shi!

Dear all,


I hope everyone enjoyed the games yesterday. The tournament turned out
to be a great success. Every participant has made their contributions.
Thank you.



I thank all players for playing fair games, observing tournament rules
and paying respects to our referees. (please pass our appreciations
and thanks to your team mates).

I thank our seven referees – Yang, Wen; Dong, Jie; Kevin Wang; Stephen
Liu; Fan, Jianhua; Mike Tang; Wang, Zhengang for their volunteering
hard work, they have done a great job and kept the program in good
timing!

I thank our chief registrar – Ms Li, Wen for a wonder registration and
coordination work. She made the twenty rounds of matches so smooth and
seamless. Thank you, Wen!

I thank our organizing committee members and volunteers: Jenny Shi;
Jane Hu; Su, Xiaoting; Kevin Hu; Tan, Bin; for planning, organizing
and coordinating the tournament. They are the heroes behind the scene.

I would also thank our WCCA executive committee; Ms. Su, Liming (WCCA
president), Mr. Zhou, Qi and other members for their leadership and
support to this tournament.



We now have the new champions for 2012 WCCA badminton tournament. They are:



Men’s double

1st place:  David Duong; David Nguyen

2nd place:  Wei, Ming; Jeff He

3rd place: Shawn Fan; Yang, Xiaochun



Women’s double

1st place: Sang Duong; Mei Dent

2nd place: Liu, Dongxia; Yvonne He

3rd place: Jenny  Shi; Wang, Yinan



Mixed double

1st place: Xu, Xinnan; Jenny Shi

2nd place: David Duong; Sang Duong

3rd place: Wang, Yinan; Dayan Ban



Let’s congratulate all of them and ourselves for the great
performance. One photo of our medalists is attached.



This year we successfully mounted new mixed double games for the first
time so eight mixed double teams could join the tournament.
Unfortunately, due to court and time limitation, we had to put quite a
few teams on our waiting list. This annual tournament will continue
and hopefully will be expanded in future to accommodate more teams. So
please stay tuned and see you next year.
