［星期一］KW地区今晚到明天将有大风降温。一个北极冷空气今晚在南安省停留。KWC地区今晚气温加上风冷将会达－30至－35˚C 左右。Guelph地区也有同样降温警告。

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement on Sunday warning of a severe cold front sweeping through southern Ontario.

The agency warned that traffic conditions could deteriorate as the front moves through the province, bringing with it winds that could gust up to 60 kilometres per hour Sunday evening.

“Along the front, bands of intense flurries may develop giving a brief period of near-zero visibilities in snow and blowing snow along with a quick few centimetres of accumulation,” the agency said in an online statement.

In Waterloo Region, temperatures are expected to fall to – 14 C Monday afternoon

After the front rolls through, the agency said “an arctic air mass will settle in over the region,” contributing to a wind chill value that could get as low as -30 in some parts of southwestern Ontario on Tuesday morning.
