Waterloo Region – Extreme weather conditions will result in delays to garbage, green bin and recycling collection.

All garbage, green bin and recycling collection in Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.

If you live in Cambridge, Kitchener or Waterloo, and your regular collection day is:

• Tuesday, your waste will be collected on Wednesday.
• Wednesday, your waste will be collected on Thursday.
• Thursday, your waste will be collected on Friday.
• Friday, your waste will be collected on Saturday.
  

Collection contractors are still working in the town areas of Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich townships on Tuesday, but collection in the rural areas of these townships may be delayed one day. The remaining days of the week will not be affected in the townships.

If you live in Wellesley, Wilmot or Woolwich townships and your collection day is Tuesday, crews are working to collect as much as they can from the towns. In the rural areas of these townships, if waste is not collected by 7 p.m., residents are asked to please bring in items overnight, and place them to the curb again to be collected on Wednesday. Regular Wednesday, Thursday and Friday collection in the townships (including North Dumfries) are not expected to be affected.

Trucks are unable to return for any materials that remain uncollected in the Monday areas across Waterloo Region. We apologize for any inconvenience, and ask residents to please bring in any uncollected items from Monday and put them out again next week.

The Cambridge and Waterloo waste transfer stations are open for regular hours today.
